At this stage, the sketch, we are asked to do the suggestion of an architectural space to a place in the Serra da Estrela, with difficulty, in my view, connected with the relationship between a new object which appears in a space with defined character yet, and extremely beautiful, when this beauty left our mind  the disaster of intervention is it proportional, because the human being intimidates, our insight hides behind his back and we work almost blank.

So it is in demand to escape this kind of reaction I propose a different place that  was given, taking into account especially that this new site is configured as a demand that will continue because it is assumed as a part that did not follow the setting that surrounds it, and is trying to match it, so that  elect as a place of my building. The orientation of the construction was chosen according to the apparent movement of the sun, which can be stated that despite this have a whole glass wall, this is not generating excess heat, since this wall facing south is, only picking up the cool morning sun, and offset it with the refreshing ambience of the creek that runs through the extreme northeast of the shelter because it contains an opening , which further help air circulation. The opening of the shelter is oriented southwest to escape the incoming air currents, and is a shortcut to who runs the full Covão (as this is the tendency of those who visit it), and have the facility to enter  immediately after having exhausted the views. The fireplace area is facing north, was intended that the summer this area could take also a resting place for not picking up direct sun is the coolest area of the building may, however, be interrupted it with the light of fire. It should also mention that the long flap coverage on top of the glass area will not let that take the sun of summer. In the same intention to "fill" appears to us the formal conformation of the shelter, complementing the position that was taken as the projection on the ground, with the resignation of the ways to what already exists, and looking highlight it.
